Still Shadey’s ‘Mirror Mirror’ called the Most Inspirational Rap Song of the Year

‘Mirror Mirror’ is more than just a song—it’s the beginning of a movement.

The track by MOBO Award Winner Still Shadey has been quoted as the Most Inspirational Rap Song of the Year, after receiving acclaim from the likes of Wretch 32, the Mayor of Croydon, and 1000 school students who the song has reached through embedded initiatives.

Following the single’s release, the Mirror Mirror Summer Experience will launch, offering an unprecedented opportunity for 60 underrepresented young people from Croydon. This transformative program, endorsed by BBC 1Xtra, Merky FC, the Houses of Parliament, and Arts Council England, will immerse these youths in the dynamic worlds of music and social change.

Still Shadey states he was inspired by Bashy’s Black Boys‘, and Nas‘ ‘I Can‘, which sparked his desire to create something which would speak into the hearts of the next generation. The song covers themes of exploitation, trauma, and identity, with powerful cinematic visuals to propel the message.
