MOBO Award-winning artist Still Shadey uses his own childhood story as the cornerstone for this compelling narrative, which explores identity, child criminal exploitation, grief, community trauma, ambition, and redemption. Backed by Mentoring Charity Ment4, ‘Mirror Mirror’ features the voices and talents of the young students from Downview Primary School, culminating in a powerful music video set for release on June 7th 2024.
But ‘Mirror Mirror’ is more than just a song—it’s the beginning of a movement. Following the single’s release, the Mirror Mirror Summer Experience will launch, offering an unprecedented opportunity for 60 underrepresented young people from Croydon. This transformative program, endorsed by BBC 1Xtra, Merky FC, the Houses of Parliament, and Arts Council England, will immerse these youths in the dynamic worlds of music and social change.
